WHL Consulting Enjoys a Successful Week at whl.travel Asia Pacific Regional Conference

Zachary Rozga and Jodi McKeeman of WHL Consulting spent the past 10 days in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) for the annual whl.travel Asia Pacific Regional Conference. Representatives from Vietnam, Phillipines, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Nepal and South Korea were all in attendence. The conference aimed to bring together a gathering of the Marketplace Operators in the region to discuss their WHL business and to generate cross regional interaction. The week was filled with fun and a lot of hard work. Jodi made a presentation on Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing and the importance for every online business to engage in the basics.

Zachary made a presentation on working with development partners to help generate better market access for SME providers in their destinations. In order to illustrate the power of leveraging the WHL Consutling Market Access Training Program, Zachary presented the Case Study from Livingstone, Zambia. There were a number of the attendees who showed in interest in replicating this program in their destination.

In addition to these presentations, a number of meetings with potential strategic partners for improving the WHL Consulting program. Zachary Rozga held a meeiting with Intrepid Travel representative Mark Robson to discuss the possibility of leveraging Intrepid's 20 years of expereince in Experiential and Sustainable Tourism in the design and implementation of projects featuring small scale tour providers. This opportunity is extremely exciting and WHL Consulting looks forward to continuing the dialog and hopes that a mutually beneficial relationship can be reached.

WHL Consulting also held meetings with Sally Broom of Your Safe Planet. Sally was very impressed with the methodology that WHL Consulting uses for their projects and is particularly interested in leveraging her networks to secure projects that assist SMEs and can follow the WHL Consulting development model. Again, WHL Consulting sees this as a large step forward in furthering the cause of sustainable tourism through empowering, supporting and enabling SMEs to deliver quality, consistent and authentic tourism experiences.
