Market Segmentation Activity in the Out Islands of the BahamasCountry and region: Bahamas, Latin America and the Caribbean RegionProject date: 6/22/2009 Client: Bahamas Hotel Association, MIF The project objective is to identify, from a market-based perspective, the segmentation of the different destinations in the "Out Islands" of the Bahamas. The project is a part of the Sustainable Tourism Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing (STEMM) project which is a program funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Multi-lateral Investment Fund. This segmentation will strengthen marketing efforts and thus the market access potential for MSMEs in these destinations. This segmentation will provide the basis for a branding and marketing strategy for stakeholders including the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation in the Bahamas. The project included a 2 week visit by WHL Consulting principle's Zachary Rozga and Jodi McKeeman to visit 8 of the islands of the Bahamas. Zachary said that he is excited by this project as it is the first for WHLC in the North America and Caribbean region. Back to projects list |
