SMART Program - SenegalCountry and region: Senegal, Africa RegionProject date: 12/11/2007 Client: IFC, Pep Africa Managed a pilot program to develop WHL e-marketplaces in five countries in Africa. The programme was a part of a grant that WHL won from the IFC out of Washington as a part of the spin-off agreement for the WHL Group from the World Bank Group. The IFC was interested in stimulating the WHL business model on the continent of Africa and selected a diverse array of destinations to feature as a part of the project in order to create a foothold for WHL in West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa. In each implementation there was a public and private stakeholder consultations to assist with targeting local partners.
